The “Two Towers” (or Due Torri, in Italian) are impressive landmarks of Bologna and stand tall in the middle of the city. From this angle, it’s barely noticeable how much one of them leans to the side.

In medieval times the whole city was full of these towers – apparently built by rich families as status symbols and for protection – creating what must have looked like an early Manhattan skyline.
