If you cannot remove cars from your city and you cannot put them underground, you can build a park on top of them. Yes, you read that right and it’s what Zurich just did to one of the ugliest highway entrances of the city.

Last weekend the “Überlandpark” was officially opened to the public and it is amazing how much an area gets improved, if cars are gone. It’s better for all of the people living there, it’s better for plants, it’s better for animals, heck it’s even better for the cars because it doesn’t disturb their traffic like stop-lights would.
