Sächsilüüte 2023 - everyone's watching the "Böögg", just a few moments before the its head finally exploded.

Sächsilüüte 2023 in Zurich (or “Bonzenfasnacht” as some would call it).

Or, this weird little tradition where we stuff a fabricated snowman (aka the “Böögg”) with fireworks, put it on a huge bonfire and wait until his head explodes.

The time this takes predicts how good of a summer it will be, or so the story goes. Fortunately this is just a legend, or we would be up for a pretty shitty summer this year, with a new all-time record of 57 Minutes (usually it takes 10-30 Minutes max).
