What Is Claude? Anthropic Doesn’t Know, Either

A very interesting and entertaining article about how Anthropic builds Claude and shapes its “personality”, with lots of anecdotes and insights into their work. It also explains some of the basics about how LLMs work (as far as we know) and where/why they differ from traditional software. It’s super long, but worth it!

FullText Search in WP. Yes please!

Matt Cromwell released a community plugin last week to improve the search in WP admin. I have yet to play around with it, but from what I’ve read in his post, it sounds pretty smart and any improvement to the search in WordPress can only be a good thing.

Have We Forgotten How to Design?

Louis Mantia raises some questions about the role of design in today’s move-fast-and-break-things mentality. I just finished reading The Green Imperative, which was written in the 90-ies, and I’m sure Viktor Papanek would turn over in his grave if he heard some of the examples mentioned here.
